Terms of service

Shopping with Chase Cards

We want shopping with us to be straightforward. These terms explain how orders work, what you can expect from us and how we handle things if a problem comes up.

They apply to consumer purchases through chasecards.uk and use of this website. Please read them before ordering and keep a copy for your records. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

Know what you are buying

Read the listing, condition and product details carefully. Contact us before ordering if you need clarification.

Your rights stay protected

Our terms and policies do not remove your rights to goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

Help when you need it

Email support@chasecards.uk with your order number and we will help you with the next steps.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Chase Cards UK, company registration number 17155765. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Chase Cards UK. Our registered office and contact details are below.

Shopify provides the platform that hosts our store. Your purchase contract is with Chase Cards UK.

These terms are intended for customers buying mainly for personal use. Please contact us before placing a wholesale or business order so that any separate arrangements can be agreed.

2. Placing an order

Check the products, quantities, delivery address and total at checkout before submitting your order. You must be entitled to use your chosen payment method and provide accurate contact and delivery details.

Your order is an offer to buy the products listed. A message that only acknowledges receipt of your order is not acceptance. We accept your order when we expressly confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods, whichever happens first. At that point, a purchase contract is formed for those goods.

If we cannot accept an order, for example because stock is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or there is a reasonable fraud concern, we will tell you and promptly refund any payment taken for the unaccepted items.

Any purchase limits will be stated before ordering. Please do not use multiple accounts or automated tools to bypass them. We may decline an order before acceptance where a stated limit has been exceeded. Once accepted, an order cannot be cancelled simply because its market value has changed or we would prefer to sell it to someone else.

Contact us promptly if you need to change an order. We will try to help, but changes may not be possible once processing or dispatch is underway. Your statutory cancellation rights still apply.

3. Cards, condition and product descriptions

Read the listing for the product's language, edition, quantity, condition and whether it is a single card, sealed product or graded item. Our Condition Guide explains the condition labels used for ungraded cards.

Condition assessments involve judgement, but the item supplied must still match its description. Our condition labels do not promise a particular grade from a professional grading company.

Where a listing identifies photographs as showing the actual item, those photographs form part of its description. Where an image is identified as illustrative or a stock image, the written listing explains what is supplied. Screen colours can vary, but this does not excuse a materially inaccurate description.

Graded cards are sold with the grading company and grade stated in the listing. We do not guarantee that another grading company, or a later resubmission, will award the same grade.

Booster packs and other products with random contents do not guarantee a particular card, rarity, pull rate or resale value unless the listing expressly promises it. This does not affect your rights if a product is faulty, tampered with or not as described.

Trading card prices can rise or fall. We do not promise future value or investment returns. A later market price change does not alter the price agreed for your order.

4. Prices, payment and mistakes

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include applicable taxes. Delivery charges and your total are shown before you pay. Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.

We may update prices for future orders. This does not change the price of an order we have already accepted.

If we discover a pricing or description error before accepting your order, we will explain it and ask whether you want to proceed on the corrected basis or cancel for a full refund. We will not charge a higher price without your agreement. If we cannot reach you, we may decline the unaccepted order and refund the payment taken.

If an error is discovered after acceptance, we will contact you to agree a fair resolution in line with your legal rights. These terms do not give us an unrestricted right to cancel an accepted order or change its price.

Discount codes, promotions and rewards have the eligibility requirements and expiry dates stated with the offer. We will make any restrictions clear before you use them. Corrections to genuine errors or misuse will not remove refunds or other remedies you are legally entitled to.

5. Delivery, cancellations and returns

Our Shipping Policy explains dispatch cut-offs, delivery estimates, charges and how we handle delivery problems. Any specific delivery commitment agreed for your order also applies.

When we arrange delivery, we remain responsible for the goods until you or someone you nominate takes physical possession. A different rule can apply if you independently appoint a carrier we have not offered.

For most physical goods bought online, you can notify us of a change-of-mind cancellation within 14 days after delivery and return the goods within 14 days of notifying us. Exceptions only apply where the law allows them and they have been properly explained.

Our Refund Policy explains statutory cancellation rights, our additional 30-day returns offer, return postage, lawful deductions for excessive handling and refund timings. It also explains your rights when goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.

Please do not send parcels to our registered office. Follow the return instructions in our Refund Policy or contact us for the correct returns address.

6. Accounts and responsible website use

Keep your account access details private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised use. Please keep your contact details up to date so we can reach you about your order.

You must not use the site for fraud, unlawful activity, harassment, uploading malicious code, accessing another person's account without permission or interfering with the store's security or operation.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect customers and the store. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to resolve the issue. Restricting an account does not remove rights concerning existing orders, refunds or complaints.

The website may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance or technical problems. If this affects an order, contact us by email. We will continue to meet our obligations for accepted orders.

7. Website content and customer reviews

Our original website text, photographs, branding and other content belong to us or are used with permission. You may view the site and save or print information for personal use, including these terms and your order details. Other use requires permission unless the law allows it. Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their owners.

Reviews should reflect your honest experience. Do not include another person's private information, unlawful material or content you do not have permission to share.

If you submit a review for publication on our site, you permit us to display it there with the name you choose to provide and to format it without changing its meaning. You keep ownership of your content. This does not give us unrestricted permission to use private support emails or your content in advertising.

We may remove reviews that contain unlawful content, personal information, spam or other clear breaches of these rules. A review will not be removed simply because it is negative.

8. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected and used. These terms do not replace any consent required for marketing or non-essential cookies.

Links to external websites, including eBay, may take you to services with their own terms and privacy information. Check those details before using the service. We are not responsible for an independent website's operation, but remain responsible for our own statements and obligations to you.

Using Shopify, payment providers or delivery partners does not remove our responsibilities as your retailer.

9. Our responsibility to you

If we breach our contract or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result. A loss is foreseeable if it is obvious that it could happen or both you and we knew it might happen when the contract was made.

We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. We do not exclude your statutory rights relating to goods or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These consumer terms are for purchases mainly for personal use. We do not accept liability under them for business losses, such as lost business profits, business interruption or lost business opportunities.

If an event outside our reasonable control affects an order, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to reduce the impact. This does not remove your cancellation, delivery or refund rights.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders, for example when our services or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.

The terms supplied when you placed your order apply to that order unless you agree to a change or the law requires one. Updates will not retrospectively reduce your rights under an existing order.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the other parts continue to apply where they can operate fairly without it. A delay in enforcing a right does not mean it has been given up.

These terms do not override product descriptions, information we are legally required to provide or specific promises we have agreed with you.

11. Complaints and applicable law

If something has gone wrong, please email us with your order number and explain what happened and how you would like it resolved. We will investigate and respond. You do not have to give up legal rights to raise a complaint.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, this does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.

You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use the courts there. Nothing here removes any right you have to bring proceedings in your local courts under applicable consumer law.
